Redwood House Care Home Manager

Location: Redwood House, 53 Seafield Road, Broughty Ferry, Dundee DD5 3AL.


Salary: 45K

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Care Home Manager to lead our residential care home and ensure enhanced outcomes for all our residents, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for our residents.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about delivering person-centred care, developing high-performing teams, and maintaining regulatory excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while creating a warm, supportive, and thriving environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and day-to-day operational management of the care home.
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and risk management.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure the home operates within agreed financial targets.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain quality assurance systems.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on resident wellbeing, staff engagement, and service excellence.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior leader within a residential care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of adult social care regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

Desirable Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve).
  • Experience managing a care home rated Good or Outstanding by Care Inspectorate.
  • Knowledge of dementia care and complex care needs.
  • Experience in occupancy management and business development.
